Exploring Phenomena and Space

Nishi focuses on spontaneous natural phenomena and material characteristics, reconstructing them into spatial form to simultaneously explore their poetic and structural dimensions.

In Drop of light, he translates the relationship between water and light into spatial experience, capturing the transformation of time and matter to evoke a sense of the extraordinary. In Shape of Light, created abroad, he incorporates both the universality of light and cultural differences into space, attempting a global interpretation of phenomena.

Through experimental approaches, these works reframe phenomena structurally, allowing space to breathe as part of nature itself.
