This project designed a device for introducing the gentle movement of plants as an environmental element within the lounge of Narita International Airport’s Passenger Terminal Building. In response to a newly installed green wall (constructed by Park Corporation), a micro‑airflow system using DC fans was developed. A compact airflow unit was designed to fit inside existing tables, generating only the movement of air while leaving the visible surface of the space untouched. Unlike HVAC systems, the subtle current is faint enough to escape conscious detection, yet it gently stirs the leaves of the plants. This minute trembling quietly reveals the flow of time and a sense of spatial depth. The system is not equipment in the conventional sense, but a structure for making latent environmental forces perceptible.
