Ripple is a work that delicately explores the interaction between light and wind. The spatial composition is inspired by the ever-changing scenery created by raindrops falling on the water’s surface. The piece incorporates natural elements into the architectural space, evolving with the weather and time. Light filters through pipes in the ceiling, creating patterns reminiscent of ripples on water. The wind moves these light patterns, producing wave-like phenomena that sway in response to changes in the atmosphere. The architectural space itself was designed and calculated based on environmental factors and the shape of the land to enhance the experience of the light. This work is entirely dependent on natural atmospheric forces, emphasizing the ephemeral beauty of the present moment as a phenomenon. Ripple allows viewers to feel the subtle and fleeting beauty of nature and raises awareness of the importance of protecting the environment as it exists today. As with all of his works, he personally handled every step of the process, from design and fabrication to self-building the structure.
