Shirasame captures the quiet moment when raindrops touch a water surface and disappear. The pendant light carries contours reminiscent of spreading ripples, trembling gently in response to slight airflow. This subtle vibration recalls the tactile memory of a falling droplet. The light does not assert itself; it diffuses softly, easing the boundaries of the space. Born from collaboration with product designer Hiroshi Sakuma, the work integrates formal precision with the ephemeral wavering of light. The structural thinking developed here later informed the architectural work Ripple.
