In Japanese culture, there is a special curtain called Shoji-screen, which the material used was semi-transparent paper. Therefore, the screens were installed to create an unusual charm, where shadows were seen on the screens giving people a theatrical show, awakening their imagination. This leads to a culture called "Wabi- Sabi"「侘び寂び」- a world view focusing on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. That is what inspired Taka to create this installation. He tried to incorporate the element of imperfection into this artwork by controlling visibility through a variety of light reflections being projected from various angles.  Takatoku, is trying to combine the effects caused by the movement of people, their interaction with the art piece and the light flowing through or being captured within the walls of this installation. The viewers can observe complex reflections which appear and disappear unexpectedly, similar to light being reflected on choppy waters – hence the name “Choppy sight”.
