A lighting piece capturing the lingering moment when a raindrop disappears into the surface of water.

The pendant light is shaped to evoke ripples, reflecting the quiet stillness that follows the fall of a raindrop. Its gentle illumination softly spreads through the space, guiding viewers into a calm and meditative state.

Created in collaboration with product designer Hiroshi Sakuma, the work fuses product design and light phenomena, discovering a new harmony between material form and perceptual experience.

Integrating a physical understanding of natural phenomena with poetic expression, this work later influenced Nishi’s architectural installation Ripple. Through the interplay of light and rain, a fleeting yet vital rhythm is inscribed within the space.
