Part of the Pacific Rim project, the lighting installation was created in collaboration with Hiroshi Sakuma under the concept of "Echo of Light: A Beautiful Moment, Touch Your Heart." This work explores the delicate beauty of Japanese gardens, particularly the movement within silence seen in Kyoto's rock gardens. The installation aimed to capture the fleeting moment of a raindrop as it falls, disappears on the water's surface, and leaves behind a lingering reverberation. The pendant light "SHIRASAME" was designed to evoke the ripple effect of raindrops, with soft wind movements simulating the touch of a raindrop. Its gentle illumination invites viewers to connect with light, offering a serene and contemplative experience. The principles behind this piece later inspired the architectural work "Ripple."
